Our Yosemite National Park Bear Tree Handmade Magnets are made out of wood here in California and are approximately 2.5" x 2" x .20" thick. Photos are a general representation of the one magnet you will receive. (Grain and coloring varies with each piece which is why the last photo shows several magnets: to help depict some of the variance that occurs in redwood/these magnets.)
The design was created by my dad while I do the labor: hand sanding each one, applying 3 coats of clear finish to help protect them from bumps/bruises and also to help the grain and color pop, and gluing the magnet on.

Our ornaments and magnets are handcrafted and go through a lengthy process from start to finish. Boards are cut to size, sanded, and then the ornament or magnet/design is cut out. Then, each is sanded by hand and has a clear finish applied to it to protect it from use/wear and to help the individual grain characteristics and coloring of each piece really "pop." Each receives 3 coats of finish. Only then, are ornaments strung and carded by hand while magnets have their magnet applied to them.
